What's the story behind Tutor Club?

Where we've come from, where we're going and why we're the right local tutors to help your child succeed.

Hi there, I'm Cerys Bevan and I'm a fully qualified teacher with over 20 years teaching experience.

I opened up my tuition centre back in 2004 with my husband Colin - who is also a fully qualified teacher - with just one aim - to help young people to become excited about learning and empower them build an exciting future.

Early on my tuition journey, I quickly realised that although getting good grades is an important part of education, it's also far too simplistic to use the highest grades and university acceptance as the only barometer of success.

Sure, grades are really important, and I'm so proud of the amount of students that I've empowered to get fantastic grades in their exams, but for me, education is capable of so much more.  With each of my students, I focus on a change of attitude.  I aim to transform their minds from a 'can't do, won't do' attitude to a 'can do' attitude.  Once a child develops this attitude, the world really is their oyster.

I'm so proud to be able to serve the Neath area, and as you'll see from the many kind comments from parents and students, Tutor Club continues to go from strength to strength; empowering students to forge exciting futures.

‘I feel my daughter is receiving education in such a caring environment and I am so pleased with the excellent service we are receiving.’

At Tutor Club, we specialise in Maths and English and help children from age 5 right through to 16 (GCSE).

We are exceptionally proud of our very special tuition centre on London Road in Neath.  It was a farmhouse over 300 years ago and the town of Neath has built up around it.

‘The Tutor Club building in Neath has a great layout - Megan tells me that due to this she feels at home and in a relaxed environment, which has helped her settle in easily and not feel nervous.’

This is how we built our tuition centre too!   We started in 2004 with a vision and a dream to help young people, and today we have the largest and most trusted tuition centre in Wales.

Both parents and children love it!  It isn’t what they expect when they come through the door and we always get the big ‘WOW!’ when they first visit us.

We love that!  We strive to get that ‘WOW’ factor with our tuition too!

Here at Tutor Club Neath we’re situated only a short walk from Neath Railway Station and local bus stops. For those that are driving, our centre is located just off the A465 with easy drop-off and parking options.
